XML for ETD at Virginia Tech

The main objective of this independent study is to devise a tool/method to aid the students at Virginia tech in developing their theses/dissertations (ETD) in eXtensible markup Language (XML). The project began by studying the other ongoing ETD-XML projects. As part of this study, different tools for creating XML documents have been assessed, and some of them were used in the methodologies described in this report. Three different methods have been introduced here with their relative advantages and disadvantages. This report also contains a brief description of all the methods along with the students supporting material related to this project.
