The Ohio ETD Association (OETDA) annual conference will be held Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3, 2009. The conference will be hosted by the Ohio State University and will be held at the Blackwell Inn, Columbus, Ohio.
The schedule can be found at www.oetda.org under the "Conference" tab and registration can be completed online or by check.
Highlights of the conference include:
1) a Showcase of ETD Cataloging Processes from Ohio University, University of Cincinnati, Kent State University, and the Ohio State University.
2) ETD Graduate College Practice and Procedures from an Ohio university.
3) Survey of Earned Doctorates/NORC presentation.
4) ProQuest/UMI - Topic: Understanding the document review process of ProQuest/UMI and what they look for in proper citation of sources in manuscripts. What TD professionals should look for when reviews final manuscripts?
5) Securing Your Data: Database Checks and Preservation Plans
6) Updates from the OhioLINK ETD Center.
7) Thursday night dinner to be held at the Ohio State University varsity club.
